AMALFI COAST

Village-strewn cliffs stretch out toward the cobalt blue Mediterranean waters all along Italy’s Amalfi Coast.  The pastel fishing villages connected by the dramatic and breathtaking winding cliffside road, have long drawn those looking for a blend of nature, culture, and ultimate luxury.  Begin your journey in Sorrento, the “gateway” to the Amalfi Coast.  Settled high on the cliffs of the coast, Sorrento offers picturesque views and the opportunity to relax while sipping locally made limoncello and strolling along the Villa Comunale boasting impressive views over the Bay of Naples.

In Positano, pink, and yellow terracotta homes tumble down towards the sea.  A dramatic vertical view of pastel colors, contrasts against the turquoise blue of the sea and the silvery grey of sand along the Spiaggia Grande in the heart of the village.  Steep streets and steps abound with fashionable shops and restaurants boasting a compendium of fresh, local dishes make it a perfect spot to browse and be seen.

Amalfi is most noted for its breathtaking cathedral and its sun filled piazza offers a wonderful view of the duomo’s steep steps and the sea. It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon engaged in both history and culture of the coast.  Nestled high in the hills above Amalfi, is the romantic town of Ravello.  With its enchanting gardens and world class views, Ravello is infinitely beautiful.

During your visit, you can soak up the sun while sailing along the crystal waters to the glamorous island of Capri. With a precipitous, jagged coast, and encircled by the famous faraglioni, enormous and uniquely-shaped boulders, and by numerous caves that tell of evocative plays of light. The island continues to be both a legend and a favorite destination for travelers, intellectuals and the international jet-set – “performing” at any given time in the legendary piazzetta, the real-time theatre of the island’s ‘Dolce Vita’. Capri is a gem radiating a brilliant history through all its different facets.

If you prefer a more low key spot, you can indulge in the natural hot springs found on the exotic island of Ischia. Nourish your body and spirit with the freshest daily catch and other seasonal artisanal delights while toasting to one another with glasses of local organic wines.

With its azure blue sea, rocky cliffs, these chic port towns saturated with color, it provides visitors with a matchless experience of visceral wonder.
